EVENT HISTORY
 
For the past three years in July, Phoenix has played host to some of Nova Scotia’s best homegrown hockey heroes. Scotiabank Champions for Change is an event like no other in this region – a celebration of hockey in our community. In just three years, this event has raised over $150,000, allowing Phoenix to continue to provide transformative programs and services for the youth that turn to us for support.
 
The rewards gained from this new event go far beyond the dollars raised. Long-lasting relationships have been created through new sponsors, new volunteer committee members, new event attendees and Nova Scotia hockey legends all of whom are now championing change for youth in our community.

EVENT ACTIVITIES
 
• Pre-event sponsor reception with all attending Champions
• Three-course dinner with sponsorship or purchase of floor seats/tables
• Fan Zone with various hockey themed interactive activities
• Champion seated at sponsor tables
• Three periods of insightful and inspiring interviews with the Champions on stage
• Live and silent auctions featuring rare and collectable sports memorabilia
• Opportunity to engage youth, teams and families

Since 1987, Phoenix has been dedicated to supporting youth and contributing to a vibrant community. Phoenix’s ten locations in Halifax, NS provide a continuum of care for youth ages 11-24 and their families. We offer important ser­vices and programs including shelter, food, housing support, health care, parenting support, recreation, education and employment services, and clinical therapy. Our team of caring professionals recognizes that each person who comes to us has individual needs as well as strengths.
